I think I can say with confidence that I frequent Digg’s Tacos more than any other place in College Park. The place offers several vegan options, but I always end up ordering my favorite: a veggie burrito bowl with no cheese. I don’t think I could ever get tired of it, and I personally think …
- My go-to: a veggie burrito bowl without the dairy! This colorful bowl comes with cilantro rice, red bell pepper slices, carrot strips, shredded zucchini, purple cabbage, jicama, black beans, corn, and an addition I haven’t seen elsewhere: slivers of mango. I particularly enjoy the combination of these fresh flavors smothered in guacamole, with a drizzle of lime juice and several dashes of black pepper.
- French fries! I checked; these are fried with vegetable oil.
- Salad bowl: healthy veggie-mix on a bed of lettuce, tossed in balsamic vinaigrette (naturally the ranch is not an option). This is a lighter version of the veggie burrito bowl.
- This is the nacho platter, ordered without the dairy products. They gave me extra guacamole instead. I also happened to have some tofu scramble with me, and it went nicely with this dish.
- Veggie burrito (minus the cheese) in a spinach tortilla. This was good, but I definitely prefer the filling to the tortilla. Hence my obsession with the veggie burrito bowl.
